Sweetheart? the barely adult man brushed her hair behind her ear, are you awake?
When she didnt answer he expected not. He gently wrapped his arms around her, weaving them through the tubes and machinery, to symbolize he was there for her.
Hun? The seventeen-gingered hair girl called out. Is that you? She nuzzled her chin into his arm.
Yes. He gently whispered into her ear. He kissed the top of her forehead and rested his head atop of hers.
You know when you said I love you? She nodded. And I didnt respond? She nodded again.
It wasnt because I didnt love you
It was because I didnt want my heart broken, again. But now I know that you were the angel that was suppose to save me
you are my guardian angel. He kissed her again. She caressed his hand and nuzzled into his arm more.
The light haired man reached for the glistening stone out of his pocket. He placed it onto her finger, took her and hand whispered. Will you marry me?
He waited a little bit. When she didnt respond, he noticed the coldness of her hand. The color had faded from her face. And her sickened heart finally gave way. Tears were brought to his eyes, as he kissed those two frozen lips one last time.
"Don't worry...I can wait forever."
